HGV Cat C training in Faringdon, Oxfordshire

We use a modern rigid Scania P230 with an automatic gearbox for HGV training in Faringdon . This is the same vehicle as used by many major operators in The UK and around the world. Once you pass your test you will be able to drive any rigid lorry over 7.5t. Cat C HGV training in Cirencester is provided on a one to one basis which gives you more time behind the wheel to perfect your skills.  It also increases your chances to pass your HGV Cat C driving test first time. This is also a reason why we have a high first time pass rate. Training is charged on a daily rate subject to your ability rather than a set course. Spread over a few days it gives you enough time to learn where you are going and work on your bad habits.

Took and passed my Cat C rigid lorry test today.

Cat C+E driver training in Faringdon is provided in a modern Scania tractor unit with twin axle trailer. The  combination is 14.9m long which makes it easier to handle on the road and easier to reverse. It is also a very common model and many operators use them. There is a chance that you will be driving this model at  your first job as an articulated lorry driver.

  • Show me tell me or safety questions. We will train you fully to be able complete this exercise to the test standard required. Requirements will be set out in detail for you to learn before you start your course. During your one to one training you can learn  all you need and practice it as much as you want or need too before you attempt to pass your test.
  • Practical road driving. You will be assessed for ability to drive vehicle safely, perform emergency stop, selecting suitable place to stop and control vehicle speed and other criterias. 1 to 1 training you receive from us will increase your chances of passing first time.
  • Reversing. If you cannot reverse – do not worry, we can teach you. How long it takes for you to learn it is subject to your ability.  Some people need more time to learn the skill of reversing which is why 1 to 1 Cat C training is better for them as there is no pressure to get it right quickly and you can practice as much as you like.
